first off belly dancing is a grand form of excercise - which is my aim not the sexual side of it.
also the classes i meant are for mums to dance and the kiddies to play together! although knowing my 2 year old she would want to join in

I think this is your best bet:

The instructor, Sarah, teaches at a school called Wiggles Dance Club which offers many dance classes for kids.

Belly dancing at a young age should be fine. For one thing, it helps teach children about other cultures beyond the violent images portrayed in the news and other media. This article talks about some of the other misconceptions about belly dance:

G'day Hertsbabeuk, Thank you for your question. According to Film Your Children at Play: "A word of caution, however. If you intend to film your children in locations where other children will be present such as in team sports, school plays, on holiday swimming etc., be sure you find out whether you have permission to film. There can be serious legal repercussions if you’re caught filming children without the consent of other parents or the organisers of a particular children’s event." I would speak to a lawyer about what you can do. Alternatively, the Equality and Human Rights Commission might be able to provide advice about the appropriate agency to speak with. Regards

hi... don't know your area there (over in northern us) but... I thought maybe I could try and help out with looking things/places up online... because, I took belly dancing when I was a girl scout (guide) and it was so much fun.... wouldn't want anyone missing out...
anyway... here are some places I found:

www.samnara.co.uk/3.html

http://www.galitmersand.com/

http://www.jwaad.com/

http://www.wiggle.org.uk/

http://www.accessplace.com/dance-school/hertfordshire/hertford.htm

this next one is for parents and kids... not sure if you found it already: did not find anything listed for the belly dance kids/parents here.. but?

http://www.dinkydancers.com/classes.htm

this last one I am not too sure will go thru... I found a site to look up all dance classes in Hertfordshire (and surrounding area)

http://www.danceweb.co.uk/Net/ws/default.aspx?ws=0&df=0&sx=-0.3333333&sy=51.75&ct=0&dt=19&li=0&ls=0&lf=0&zc=hertfordshire&dc=0&mo=0&ds=8&nx=0&zm=0&m=1

hope this helps.. that first one Samnara looks like a good one and mentions classes for girls at least? others looks like you would have to call for the details...
good luck

How awsome-my son and I dance to Shakira videos and Fergie, he likes to hold his shirt up and show me his belly button while we dance. I don't think it is bad to expose children to new things-music and dance goes beyond the world or Wiggles, why not let them appreciate it? He is also fond of Celtic music and likes to watch Riverdance. With so many out of shape kdis anything to get them moving and active is good.

I think thats a cute idea..

Besides, belly dancing doesn't have to be "sexy" and it's a great form of exercise!!

I wouldn't teach my child such a sensual/sexual dance form.
