Had a perm 2 years ago. I love my long hair but its 'so so' anymore. I was wondering if getting it cut would help better it?

so yes!

you can get rid of all the nasty hairs on the bottom and you'll have fresh hair on top

As son as you get out of the shower, dry the excess moisture off your hair with a towel and throw on a good dollop of fixing hair mousse. Divide your hair into two sections and french plait both halves, nice and tight right from your scalp. Your hair should still be pretty damp. Then leave it until it is dry. Sleep with it like that. It might take anything from 12- 48 hours but you could also try heating it through with a hairdryer on a very low blow which might speed it up. If you pull it out and it is still damp, you've ruined it. Don't brush it, fix it with your fingers if it needs it. You won't have to wash it for about 4 days - it just doesn't seem to get greasy. You might want to plait it again over night but it isn't necessary, the curls will just be a bit softer the next day.
