YES, my friend Chris has a daughter that was born with
DI-George syndrome. She is going to be 10 years old.
It was very touch and go at first. This syndrome is a deletion on the 22Q11 chromosome and may kids
with Di-George syndrome suffer from a number of medical problems depending on the amount of deletion of the chromosome.

Few doctors know about it.. She travel from Chicago to Philly to the children's hospital there where they have some expertize in it.

I dont know the exact facts on this case but -YES they can and do live past infancy

good luck-any more questions please post

It really depends on the care they get. My friend has a neice who wasn't expected to live a week....she's now 16 and doing great. The best advice I can give you is don't think the worst until you have to. Live in hope and remember that there are many out there that have done really well.

It depends on how bad their cardiac issues are. If they are really bad them most die within 6 months. I worked with a 2 year old whose heart wasn't that bad and he is expected to live for a long time.
