This kitten was very special to me, there were times when I'de pet it that it hissed and scratched but it was also VERY easily influenced. For example if I put her near a dog, she would try to bark!

What do you mean "should I go get it" Do you know where it is??? If you know where it is it isn't lost., and if it is special to you, why should there be any Question????? Hard to understand exactly what you mean.

If you know where it is, go get it. Really search around the neighborhood too. Put up posters in your neighborhood regarding your missing cat. Is the cat licensed or microchipped--if it is the pound will call you if they find it dead or alive. Also, check the pound about every day to see if your cat is there.

Instead of asking what you should do with your missing kitty and waiting around to read everyone's opinion on it, you should be out there looking for the poor cat before anything happens to it...:'(
