Neutering male cats calms them down. They become less territorial and they don't spray or fight as much. Aside from preventing pregnancy, spaying females also avoids ovarian cancer.

some vets will do paediatric neutering yet there is from time to time a chance that the cat may nicely be 1/2 neutered. (purely one testicle is stumbled on and bumped off). My opinion is to allow him get to 5-6 months so as that both one among his testicles should be desended into the scrotum that way there is not any chance of him having to have a 2d surgical operation to discover the different. I surely have considered this ensue on a pair activities. Male cats can often commence spraying round 6 months and up. As for crystals from being fixed to early, i in my opinion have not in any respect heard of that. I surely have purely commonplace that male cats ought to not be fed a consistent weight-help plan of fishy DRY food because it may reason crystals of their urine which finally ends up in blockages.

Male cats actually can get very deadly unrinary track problems and some times the only way to cure it is to actually completly alter the cat (completly sex change) and then JJ will no longer be considered a male cat. it can also lead to extreme dis tempermant and dead...the urinary thing...

The first poster is very right (mephestos) also keeps female cats from getting pyometra which is almost like a burst appendix in people!! I did have a cat that got this and after all the vet bills she is a 2500.00 kitty now!!! well worth it though!! If she had been fixed 1 month earlier she would have never had a problem with this!!

You didn't say if your cat is male or female. But if it is a female If you do not get them fixed they develop uterine problems such as cancer. Male just drive you nuts spraying and howling all the time

Male cats tend to get into less fights and often live longer. They also become less aggressive (although not all unfixed male cats are aggressive). Also a cat can't get any health problems with a part that has been taken away.
A female cat will not become pregnant and won't yowl to summon male cats to mate with her when she is in heat. Also female cats tend to live longer too if they have been fixed. Also there are some hormone problems that might affect a fixed cat less than an unfixed one.
