Time, also known as Assurant and formerly known as Fortis, is a reputable company. Their student indemnity products are pretty cheap, they do have lop caps, but all in all, not a bad deal.

When in doubt, always check two places: www.ambest.com, and your state insurance website, complaint section.
I checked AM Best, and Time Insurance is rated A- Stable, so it's financially solid.
But you should also check the complaint section of your state website (search: XYZ state insurance department complaint).
