First he's playing with you -- you're his key source of entertainment right now. Second, he's developing what all kittens do at this stage; the instincts and skills that will make him a hunter.

I'm sure he's getting a great reaction from you every time he does this! Which gives him further opportunity to refine the capabilities he'll need as a cat: stalking, stealth, grasping, pouncing, etc.

Young cats are VERY playful. They will play with anything and everything. If you don't want him attacking you. Get him a toy that attaches to the door. Or they do have ones that stand on the ground with a fuzzy ball attached to it and a bell. My cats LOVE that. They bat it around all day, and night.

Don't worry, eventually your cat will grow out of that as he/she gets older. :)

Cause kittens are playful an he thinks he has founda great new game. When he does that firmly say no and remove him. Then after a minute offer up a toy and start a game.

LOL! My cat used to do this whenever he wanted us to play with him.
