i am of the motto "take what you need and leave the rest".
if a person is informed, one would find what they need want or desire where it is to be found. stereotypical attitudes can be lethal, as we all know, and we, sometimes, need to cut the rest of the world some slack. with experience comes a certain discretion and to take a person's discretion away is akin to "pulling all of the teeth out of a watch dog and then expecting it to protect you".
there is some good to be found among the myriad drugs of today. i do agree that there are far too many con jobs happening in drug distribution and it's all in the name of the almighty buck.
for the most part i seek alternative and organic medicines. they seem to jive better with the body and actually cure my ills, that is, while they still exist.

If Only things were that simple! Medicine means drugs, all drugs have useful effects and unfortunately a lot of negative effects. If you need medication for illness or chronic pain you would still have to weigh up that balance. If it hurts though I doubt people stop and think of side effects. I'd rather have a mild stomach ache than face the pain from my arthritic back! Your healthy nutrition would not conquer serious disease and age related conditions. Most of the 'healthy' eaters I know, are the ones who take supplements like they were sweets without realising too many vitamins are as bad as too few. Are natural ingredients better? A plant that has a medicinal quality can also have side effects. What after all is Cannabis?

Lots of people! Nutrition contribuites to good health but is not entirely responsible for it. Withou my prescribed meds I would have a much poorer quality of life.
PS Vitamins are medicine pills too!

Well that's a statement. I hope your right of course, however not everyone is the same, some people have to take pills but to answer your question...Taking any kind of chemical into you system cannot be 101% good for you but it is the lesser of two evils

Pharmaceuticals have their place, but popping pills instead of improving your health or lifestyle is nuts.
Many times natural supplements do the job as well if not better than meds.

This is a very simplistic view - many people unfortunately have medical conditions through no "fault" of their own who could not lead a "normal" life without medication e.g. epilepsy, parkinsons disease. I only hope it doesnt take someone close to you to develop a condition necessitating medication to make you realise how shallow minded you are being!

There are some sideeffects that you need to be aware of, but without lots of painkillers and anti-inflammatories I wouldn't be out of bed for most of the day.

believe it or not, i take medicine pills whenever i feel bad or when sth hurts. i just simply cannot bear any kind of pain....they do help me. i'm not saying they have negative effects, but i always rely on painkillers, antibiotics, herbal sedatives etc. you are so lucky for having that attitude.
