My brother is in the Air Force and It cannot be touching ears, eyebrows, or shirt collar. Mostly it needs to look tapered. This is when you go to the barbers it is straight on edges. My brother gets a hair cut every 1 to 2 weeks but he says its not much of a pain as long as it isnt out of control. You can get some hard punishment but its not hard to keep hair clean, groomed, straight.

I am 45 and I have always had long hair, BUT!!!! like you, mine only grows to a certain length then stops...All my sisters have the same length as well. To the middle of our backs.

Yes and if you constantly break regulations by having it too long you can get paperwork, which is very bad.
