There are some police departments that have this technology in use, (Global GPS), it is rare however. I doubt that this type of info will ever be released for the public to use to track them.
Outside of law enforcement, Global GPS is used widely, mostly by trucking, armored car, and taxi businesses.

The only way the POLICE have to track their vehicles is with a GPS. The only people other than the police that would want to do that have ulterior motives. Law-abiding citizens don't worry about it.

To track any vehicle or person one would have to have a tracking device on the target vehicles and have a station to receive the tracking information. The answer is: there is no way to track various police vehicles.

OMG I hope not for the sake of the police officers. That would be instant death for them.
If you are looking to track them for reasons known to yourself then maybe you should re-evaluate your life style. Looking over your shoulder all day will give you a stiff neck for sure.
