Try creamed coconut, or coconut milk.
Plain Yogurt.
But try and add the Chili, Curry & Spices slowly, you can always add more if desired, but its harder to reduce the heat if you put too much in from the start.

If your curry is too hot then you have put in too much chilli.bear in mind that different chilli's vary in strength. The small birdseye and scottish bonnet being the hottest.I avoid chilli powder as the flavour just is'nt the same and it is hard to predict how hot it will be.If you have already overdone it then yoghurt is about the only thing that will calm it down, although coconut milk also works. Cream...Yuk your curry will just taste of er 'cream'!If your mouth is on fire then a mouthful of cucumber Raiter is soothing.Don't drink water as this washes everything off your tongue except the chilli.

If your still in the early cooking stages add a cubed potato. It takes the heat off and is a great ingredient.
Another way to balance a curry is to take a cheap tin of sliced peachs, use a potato masher to break it up and add with other liquid, delicious.

Slice up some apple and pop it in. When the apple is soft (not slushy or you'll never get it out) pull it out. This will take the heat out - guaranteed! And it won't taste like apple either - promise.

Drink lassi with your meal. Anything with fat in it will take the heat away. Thats why lassi is so popular with indians at mealtime.

The stupidity of some people dumfounds me sometimes....
How did you make it hot in the first place? Yes..... by putting chilli powder in it. Or fresh chillies..... Sooooooooo.......
PUT LESS CHILLI BASED PRODUCT IN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Actually, thinking about it, maybe you should stay away from the kitchen...sharp knives, hot oven etc.
