How do you make the words flash on Powerpoint?

I am trying to make the words flash on powerpoint.
I have found flash once, but I want it to flash two times instead on one.

Set the text box to flash once and then select it.
From the Edit menu choose Duplicate, you will now have two text boxes.
Click on Edit and choose Select All.
From the Drawing toolbar choose Draw - Align or Distribute, click on Align Center and Align Middle.
Set the Order and Timing to Start Automatically and choose how many seconds you want as an interval between the two flashes.

Highlight Text, right click, select Custom Animation, and then choose from the menu on the Right Side of the Screen

Right click on the textbox surronding your text and select Custom Animation. Set it to Flash, and then once it is set, edit the animation using Advaced to set timming and repeate cycle.
