My friend is an ex-pro boxer in the uk ,and has old videos of his fights,would make a nice gift,all help welcome.

yes this can be done.

as long as you have a dvd recorder. As long as BOTH machine have the same connection.

S-video ( picture only ) and phono ( sound ) will be the best connection

Scart will be next

Ariel is the worst.

ALSO don't forget to ask your friend what PLAYBACK format his dvd player is, so that you can record on that format.

BEST to use R formated disc, so that the fights cannot be wiped of.

I have no idea if there is a Walmart in he UK or not but they offer Video Tape to DVD transfer services. Perhaps there is something like that in your area.

If you have a DVD recorder and a BetaMax player - you can hook the Betamax player to the DVD recorder and transfer it yourself.

If you have got a betamax video recorder then its pretty easy.

You need a DVD recorder as well. All you do it hook the two together with the correct wires and you should be able to do it quite easily.
