I can't imagine putting lotion on my lips, but these folks were swearing by it. Do you do it? Does it actually work better than lip balms?

I do it. People don't realize that your lips have a coating of thin skin. Skin is skin, so lotion works just as well on your lips. This is also an excellent way to see how good your moisturizer really is!

I put lotion on my lips when I go out early in the morning when its so cold, and use lip balm throughout the day.

hmm i have never put lotion on my lips but I use lip balm and my chapped lips usually go away in like 2 days

I only do it if there's no chapstick around...and ye it does taste nasty
