Contrary to a previous post that stated sheeny is not a word, it is. When used as an adjective it means lustrous or glistening. However when it is used as a noun it is offensive slang used as a disparaging term for a Jew. Shiny means to be radiating light or to be bright; glistening. And it also means having a sheen from being rubbed or worn smooth

Shiny is an adjective referring to something that glistens or reflects light.

Sheeny is not a word in the English language. If I heard it being used I would assume it to refer to Martin or Charlie Sheen. As in that comment was Sheeny. Which would mean the comment sounds like something one of the Sheen's would say.

If you heard someone use the word "sheeny" it's very possible they were saying "shiny" but because of their accent it sounds different.

Shiny is an adjective meaning highly polished, giving off a glow or a sheen

Sheeny, on the other hand, is a racial epithet, used agaiinst Jews - the idea being that they held onto money so long it became shiny - which became sheeny in local parlance.

sheeny isn't a word, i guess...but "sheen" is what I call certain colors, when they can shine one way, then another.

For example: "That car has a cool sheen to it!" usually certain paint jobs on cars will look blue, but when the light shines differently from another angle, it could shine purple or pink or any other different color...which might be what they could call "two-tone"
(cars can have any color paint job that could shine a completely different color or metallic shade when the light angle is changed)

Certain cloth or fabric can also have "sheen". Shine one color, then another...basically the same as light angle changing with car paint jobs.
--------
Shiny is, simply when light is very reflective on an object.

For example:
-Shiny plastic, gives the object a "slick, smooth" look
-Shiny metal gives it a slick, polished look
-Shiny hair, can be naturally shiny or with hair product.

Sheeny is an anti-semitic slur. Please don't use it.

Shiny is an adjective meaning something that shines.
