a good job?
well a good job would be as a bus person in a restaurant
you get a small salary like 4 or 5 bucks an hour or more
but just wait heres the best parts you get cash every night you
work thats what you spend the tips ,the paycheck you bank
lets say you work 30 hrs a week at 5.00 an hour thats 150.00
a week in the bank x 52 is 7,800 dollars in 1 year. that's a really nice 4,000 dollar car.plus 2500.00 4 insurance, that leaves 1300.00 for gas rims whatever YOU WANT to do with it
buy your parents something really nice or buy YOU SOMETHING BIG it's all about what you want. after the first year you could offer to pay rent OFFER 1 TIME AND ONLY 1 TIME if they say
no don't offer again. maybe you could buy your mom flowers 1 time your dad something you appear to b bright so you decide what to do with YOUR MONEY
NEXT is the TIPS you should make 20.00 to 100.00 a NIGHT
depending on what type of restaurant it is a diner about 30.00 to 40.00 a night a nice rstaurant you'll make more plus
you figure what night of the week it is mon, teus, slow nights
but to get the good nights you have to work one of those to get
fri,sat nights plus while bussing you can learn to be a waiter or
bartender where you can make a very good living til you get
out of college people always need to EAT that's why there r
a million restaurants in the world. if you don't want to do this
you could pump gas, work at a retail store cut grass etc
but i've been a bartender/waiter 4 25 years and i've made alot of
money doing both the last night i worked b 4 i got hurt i made
450.00 working just a dinner shift which was 5-11 pm
450.00 4 6 hours is 75.00 an hour thats the type of money that's
out there in the hospitality industry. when your 18 you should
join the bartender/waiter union where they will teach you all you want to learn. local 274 in philadelphia is the union
well good luck i hope this helps talk to your parents and
show then this if u want and they'll help you decide always trust
your parents help they only have your best interest in their hearts
plus they were young once too.
o.k. enough gl

dear you should be picky go for something that you are gonna enjoy first of all. then worry about the pay. trust me if you do not like the work you will regret it and you will be stuck. restaurant work and nice paying job do not belong in the same sentence or even in two sentences together . It is a min. wage job. It is a hot sweaty boring job trust me i have been there done that. Try applying at say library, freelance snow removal, lawn cutting, shopping for elderly ect you could make great money and get business skills that will last a lifetime. remember 2% of the population retire wealthy. and it may or may not be related but 2% of people own their own business. Something for you to think about. other ideas could be limited only to your interests and skills sewing, photography, babysitting, painting . Good luck and dont sell yourself short

if you are really desperate for a summer job Flynn and O'Hara school uniforms is a good starting job. I work at a branch outside the city and you should be warned that Flynn and O'Hara does not pay well and it is alot of work dealing with parents and children. I don't live in the city so i don't know too many places...go to restaurants and ask them if there are any openings...make sure you remember that you have 2 be 18 to serve alcohol so ur probably looking for a hostess job
ps. flynn is off hte boulevard off comley on DUTTON

Try Chuck E. Cheese on Roosevelt Boulevard. Fast Food Restaurant(make sure it is the one that you like the best, you get free food on your break.) Try babysitting or do errands for the elderly people in your neighborhood. They always need someone to go to the store for them or maybe clean their house.
