BitTorrent is the name of the service. It's called the protocol.

Azureus, BitComet etc. are the names of BitTorrent downloaders you use to get stuff. They're called clients.

A file that tells your client how to download a particular file is called a 'torrent'. These are what you usually download from a site and give to your client. The file names will end in .torrent.

TorrentSpy, Mininova etc. are search engines for finding torrents. I suppose you could call them a search engine, directory or access provider. There's no technical name for them as far as I'm aware.

The group of people downloading/uploading the file (i.e. everyone connected to it) is called a 'swarm'.

People who are downloading the file are called 'leechers'. People who have the whole file and are sharing it are called 'seeders'.

Hope all this helps you out :)

These are not different types of torrents, just different websites that provide listings for torrents. Go to isohunt which indexes many sites so you don't have to go to different torrent site one by one to find what you are looking for. Also scrapetorrent is good too.
