Or am I wrong? Is it just second nature for most Americans to talk about God?

(Note: No offence meant to Christians. It's just that sometimes - man, you can't help but wonder if it is real or not real!)

Many of them come from a religious background, and are religious in their way. Sometimes they want to clear their conscience after singing about sex or drugs or violence. (Not all rappers do this, either. And what I find really funny is that less violent or sexual rappers tend to talk about God less, too!) It does come out a lot. Country singers and athletes also tend to talk a lot about God.

Those hip hop stars, some of them I heard are praying to money gods, you know there are all kinds of spirits and they know it. So when they say thank God, they don't have to actually be talking about God the Father. They expect their money gods to produce for them. And they do but at what cost. The things people will do for money, they literaaly will sell their soul over.

America, home of the Puritans and other religious nuts who came here to escape persecution in their own countries.
Yes, Americans really do talk about God all the time.

They are not sponsored to do it but they are told to by their sponsor.

You see, they are all pwned by the Devil. But the style of music is so pathetically poor, inane and worthless that the Devil himself does not want credit for creating it or even being associated with it. So, he tells all the rap 'artists' to give their thanks to God so He gets the blame for it.

Who is going to sponsor them? God? Is he giving away sweat suits with crosses on them and running shoes looking for advertising?
These people believe. Cool.

No.

They are generally Thanking GOD they are at the Podium instead of backstage holding the water bottle for the artist they came with.

I think that some will say what will make records sell. If God is selling records they will say they believe in God. If its violence that is selling, well they will talk about violence.

This isn't limited to hip-hop you know.

That is the exact reason we are told by Our Lord to "judge not". I don't know their hearts....if they say "Thank God" - I'll take them at their word.

The rest...the judgment - that's up to God.

god is an ego maniac, so when people mention his name, especially famous people, he puts a check next to their name in his big book, and it betters their chances for heaven
