Is it any of her business? If you have been dabbling with the ex then yes - otherwise why should you?

Make sure they both know about each other! I found out 8 months in to my current relationship that my bf is still speaking to his ex. I found out more recently that they are still pretty good friends and I didn't really know that. It was weird that he didn't offer up the info to me. BUT I'm actually meeting the ex for lunch next weekend so that we can get to know each other and be friends too. She's already in another relationship too so I'm not real worried now that I know everything. Just be honest, up front!!

For the sake of the new girlfriend, I think you ought to. The last guy I went out with could not bring himself to tell the ex (and very good friend) about us,even though they had supposedly been split up for several months! Eventually, after a few months of having to duck and weave and not be any place she would be likely to be, I suspected foul play and dumped him. I figured that either he thought more of her feelings than mine, or he was not entirely finished with her after all. The week after we split up, he was right back with her. So, examine your own heart, my friend, and consider why you are asking this question at all.

My ex husband told me when he'd met someone else - I thought she was lovely - much nicer than he deserves. And I told him when I'd met someone (who's also much nicer than I deserve)!
