Well first of all make a docs appointment as soon as,take strong painkillers and if you have a hot water bottle, fill it up and hold it against your ear till you fall asleep.

Heating pad that can give moist heat, Sutafed or other decongestant. Pain reliever.

Sudafed is the wonder drug of ear aches!!!

In the many ear aches we have gotten as a family Sudafed has ALWAYS brought quick relief! It helps drain the ear canals, which reduces the pressure and pain, and allows the infection to clear up. My two children, 5 and 6, have gotten multiple ear infections per year and have never needed an antibiotic! (Antibiotics are no longer recommended pediatricians at the first sign of ear infection)

AHHH- I feel your pain as I too suffer from chronic earaches. I have one of those sac type heating pads that I like to use. After I throw it in the microwave for two minutes I wrap it in a towel and I rest it between my ear and shoulder. This really helps allot. I also find herbal tea with honey helps as well. It seems to hydrate and sooth the sinuses. When its really bad using a simple saline solution like Xclear can really help bring out any infection trapped inside. If you choose the saline route make sure you get one that's gentle enough for long term use and won't harm your nasal cavity. Good luck and feel better!!

One of the worst pains ever, I feel for you. Heat a small bottle of Almond Oil (from your chemist) and pour a few drops into the affected ear and cover with cotton wool, not to far into the ear though. Keep that ear warm for the rest of the night. Do with the kids and works every time.
Good Luck.
