I used to work and go to school, I made good grades. Now I am going to school and don't work and my grades are good also. The thing is I am not doing anything different besides not having a job. I don't study more often or anything like that.

It does to me...

Since I'm not a college grad, I can't work a job I enjoy. And every time I had to work I'd be in a bad mood the rest of the day and everything was ruined. Working a dull job actually made me lazy and slack off. I had to withdraw because my grades were so low because I didn't have enough time or motivation. However, when I am not working I am easily a straight A student and I can pursue academic interests related to my future career.

I always highly recommend one not work while in college. It effects a lot of people negatively. If you can do it and manage a 4.0 and do other activities then good for you, you have my respect.

that depends on the student and how motivated he/she is. my cousin got better grades when he worked and went to school. he knew he had to get his homework done because he didn't have time to mess around.
