My boyfriend and I have been together for quite a long while, but now I think it could be over. He seems to get very bored with me and complains that I am not treating him like a man. He says he's happy but, mostly he says he's unhappy. I want to make him happy. How do I save us? It seems that the love between us has evaporated.

I have experienced this a few times....with the same person. It could possibly be the end to the relationship...or just a dry patch. Me and my boyfriend of 2 years have had times where we just need some time apart. Take a break for about a week, if that doesnt work I would say its better to move on.

Try thinking back to the beginning of the relationship and to what made you both happy about each other. Also, try sitting down with your boyfriend for a really open, honest discussion. If you don't understand what he means about you not treating him like a man, ask him, but be prepared for any answer. If you're both honest with each other, you may find the answer to fixing your relationship. But be warned, those discussions can be difficult. They're worth it though, if you really want to save what you have. In the end, hopefully you'll discover what's missing and figure out together how to repair the damage, or you may both decide it's time to cut ties and go forward in your own seperate lives.

Good luck!

honey, it's not up to you to make him happy - he either is or he isn't. you can go crazy trying to make someone else happy, because no matter what you do, if he's not happy with himself, he won't be happy
