My cats only eat wet food and it is hard on their teeth because they don't do the chewing necessary to keep their teeth clean - cats don't really chew their dry food either. So unless you do a true BARF diet with the chunks of meat and the bone you will have to monitor your cat's teeth over her lifetime.

I do believe the moisture in canned food is necessary to keep the kidneys healthy over a cat's lifetime. And you must use quality canned meat - no Fancy Feast, Whiskas, Friskie or Science Diet which use by-product meat.

Natural Balance, Wellness, Lick Your Chops, Avoderm, Blue are good choices as they use wholesome human-grade meat in their products.

yes, I feed my kitty wet food every day...she does have access to dry food 24/7 and she eats it sometimes, but she loves wet food. We use IAMS and the vet said it was fine.

dry food is better and use the wet food as a treat.. wean her off the wet food by putting a little into the dry and she will maybe eat both and then gradually she will be back on the dry.

No. Your cat needs dry food too otherwise her teeth may decay. Leave only dry food out. Believe me. She'll get hungry and eat it. Good Luck.

absolutely .... it is basicaly the same as dry...there are alot of people who only feed their cats wet food their entire lives and they are just as healthy as the ones that are fed dry.
