to a Yahoo group that they find provides a connection to their local community. You know - Local Area Pagan and Witches group.
You can name the group, or you can discuss how your local group fill a need for the average pagan to connect with others of like minds, or provide communication on current events in their locality.
You can also mention how your local group does NOT allow you to connect. Yahoo groups are not all good.
If you know a good group, sing out. Got a lemon? Let us know!

Report me for what, sweetie? Discussing our religion on this board? Ha!
And if I remember correctly, they used to feed Christians to the lions. Times change. Deal with it.

No, we don't want to air our dirty laundry, but it's nice that we can admit we have some, isn't it?

I am a member of a Yahoo group in SW Ohio that was started in 1998. It's a large group (237 members) and very diverse. The monthly posts can range anywhere between 60 to more than 900. It seems that almost every neo-pagan is represented, at least marginally, and I really like that. It's excellent for networking and learning about the many different events we have in the area. There are folks on there that have been considered elders in our community and newer people who are just starting on their journey--and everything in between. Through the years, our community has had plenty of issues that have been worked out. Through the easy times as well as the tough times, the community has always held together. That's comforting to me. I just can't imagine living without the knowledge that there's a very active pagan community all around me.
My husband and I are mostly hermits though. We really don't care for crowds so we only occasionally attend events (there's always something going on!). Still, I remain a mostly silent member, reading posts and keeping in touch with close friends. But I am very grateful just to know that everyone is there. It means so much to me.

I'm on a Yahoo Tradition-specific group for Southern California.
I'd tell you, but then I'd have to initiate you. *lol*
We use that group for energy work requiests, to announce upcoming events, and so on.
I'm also on a tudy group list.
I used to be very active on a more generic women-only Pagan group, but I haven't participated in a long time.

I belong to a couple of good groups, and I've seen some bad ones, but wouldn't dare air our pagan dirty laundry in this particular forum.

Pagans are everywhere. Pagan is from Latin for Country Folks. Stop off in Branson Missour, or Nashville. You can see lots of them.

I starred this but it didn't show up on my star list. Luckily they put the text in the email after reporting Jinenglish. You violated nothing. Man that pissed me off. He didn't post a question or an answer. Just like me. I'm chatting too, but I'm not a total prick. And they wonder why people hate them for doing "god's Work"

I don't have a local group, but I'm in NYC--I'm sure I can find one. I keep meeting other Pagans, even though I'm solitary at the moment.
