My older brother passed away...and I'm so depressed. He was my best friend, I loved him very much. Even though we were 4 years apart, we still had an amazing bond between us. Highschool is very tough for me because all the guys remind me soo much of my brother sometimes I just can't take it and I just start crying right there at school. My boyfriend also reminds me of him because he's almost the same age as him. Sometimes I just look at him wishing he was my brother. I don't know what to do.....Please help.

What you're going through is part of the natural grieving process. When you love someone and lose them, it seems like you see a little bit of them in EVERYONE. I know you don't feel like it right now, but you WILL get through this. If you have a school counselor, talk to them. Don't repress your feelings. Emotions are very powerful and burying them never works...they'll eventually come out in ways you're not prepared for like depression, or misdirected anger, and the last thing you want is to negatively affect your other supportive relationships.

If it helps, carry something small of his (like a keychain or somethiing) around with you. Make it something that only YOU know you have. It's a quiet and reverent way to honor him, and keep a little part of him with you.

I'm very sorry for your loss.

I see that you love your brother very much and you would not forget about him cause if i was you i would probly be doin the same thing but you have to understand that your brother will always be by your side no matter what he aint goin no where he is just in a better place now but you cant keep cring because it dont make things better it makes you depressed and that is not good dont ever forget him because he will always be beside you.Just try not to stress the fact that he is gone cause he is not anf if he was with you im pretty shore that he would not want you to do that.God bless

It's always hard to lose someone you love. I know how you feel, i've lost both of my parents and i'm only 30. It tears me up that they'll never get to know thier grandchildren & all the other things that make me sad that they're not here.

It doesn't seem like it now but you will move on, you'll never forget him and you shouldn't but just remember that your brother would want you to move on and be happy.

Good Luck

losing an immediate family member is hard. Don't think of your brother as gone, think of him as still with you in your heart. When you feel like crying think of how your brother would want you to feel. It'll get easier i promise but it will take a while. Sorry about your brother.

There's not much you can do. Take your time and grieve, but you also need to get on with your life. He would want you to be happy, and you need to make it so.
