how to burn cd that has slideshow and music?

I would like to make a cd for my daughter useing pictures from my computer and have music in the background--I made one useing the photo story 3 but when I burned it all it had on it was the music-is there a way to do this--any type of software--I have the cd burner-not a dvd burner----

Nero Photoshow Deluxe - it's free and is pretty good - the full version is even better.

Select the VCD option at the end and you will create a CD that will play on most DVD players.

it's asking for a cd while you're using a dvd...
