I can relate, 17 years ago after I got married I had to move to Minnesota, my family is in ohio. At first I felt very homesick, but I met people through work, its very pretty here with the nature and all, my mom has a very hard time not seeing my children very much. my kids know who she is and love her very much as im sure that your grandchildren will always have a speacial place for you. I just makes the time that you do get to spend with them even more special. A lot of people take that for granted, but you and your grandchildren will really value the time you spend togeather. good luck, and try and adjust. if you dont you wont be happy.

Sometimes you have to make the most of a bad situation. You can send digital photos, use web cams and get a good long distance plan. I also had to move because of work, I left my family and it was very hard. We moved over 1200 miles and I cried every mile of the way. My children know and love their grandparents so very much. My grandparents send them a card for every holiday (even Valentine's day) and it makes them very happy. As for not liking the city, there must be something in that city that you can find to like. A museum, a cafe, something. Your family will not love you any less just because they don't see you every day, they will appreciate the time they do get with you all the more. When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.

One way to keep in contact with you family is to send emails and pictures back and forth. On some digital cameras you can have videos and you can send them as an email as well so you don't feel left out on all of the special moments! You could also talk to your husband and ask him him if there are any chances of increasing the amount of visits you take! :) I hope it gets better!:)
