How can I make my room be in-fashion without adding posters or having to waste any money?

An old trick is to empty everything out of the room, totally disregard how you used to have things set up, and put it back together with a fresh eye. You can also leave things out of it that really don't have a good purpose anymore, that are old/out-of-date, or that just really don't do anything for the room.

Then you can "shop" the rest of your house for things that can be brought in to decorate your room. It can be things like a throw pillow from the living room, a few family photos that were in a box in the attic, twinkle lights that you can put behind a window box to add some interest, a coverlet that you can drape across the foot of the bed. You can also look for old pieces of fabric or old clothing with an interesting pattern and cut a large square of it out and frame it.

You can have a wonderful, fashionable room without spending money if you let your creative side go...

Well, if you want to be trendy you will most likely have to spend some money. Right now accessories are in for the most part. You could go for a modern minimalist look with only the absolute items you need. Very neat and clean that way. Neutrals with a splash of warmed under-toned color is what the 2007 color preview was. Hope that helps a little.

Declutter your room, change furniture positions, get/ exchange rugs from other rooms, add colorful pillows.
