Absolutely freeze it. Nothing will happen. It is a great way to preserve butter. Take one of those little quarter pound wrapped pieces place in a microwave from 10 to 15 seconds and it is ready for spreading no worst for wear.

Yes, you can freeze butter. I buy it on sale and freeze pounds and pounds. Just let it thaw in the fridge or at room temperature before you try to use it.

sure, freezing is the best method to make something last a long time. even if it is expired but has been in the freezer it will be fine
