Alot of people believe that the flu shot means that they wont get sick at all but that's not the case. In fact the flu shot doesn't always assure you that you wont get the flu. It just lowers your chances and it usually only covers certain strands of the flu. As far as a cold goes, the flu shot has nothing to really do with it. You'll still get cold here and there. There is no cure for the common cold.

Because a FLU shot, protects against FLU, not COLDS.

The flu shot protects you against flu NOT colds... the clue is in the name!
Different viruses are involved

The flu shot protects you against EXACTLY ONE STRAIN of the flu. It doesn't protect against any type of cold or any other virus, so to a large extent it's worthless.

Because there is no cure for a cold. Cold virus is not the same as a flu virus.

People usually get sick after they receive flu shots...sort of a way to get it out of your system
