it's possible, but not entirely true. I know a professor in tijuana and he tells me that the grading system is based on both numerical results and participation from his students... They do have a different grading scale compared to the US, here we are given A, B....F whereas in Mexico the grade scale is 1-10 where ten is the highest... i dunno maybe geographical differences play a big factor on the system (for example tijuana is a border city therefore there is a great influence of american lifestyle)... very interesting I should look more into it!!! ;)
