It is a bad choice in my opinion. There are plenty of infertile couples who would love to welcome a baby into their home, so if you do not want the baby, but find yourself pregnant, adoption is a much better choice. the agency will be able to find a home for the baby before he or she is born.

First of all , there are truths that are relative and their are truths that are absolute. Relative truth would make you think that abortion is a good choice, because it was "right " or good choice for you or someone else. An absolute truth is what really is true, because it was/is ordained by God. Abortion is wrong, and is an absolute truth.
How could taking the life of your baby be a good choice- it would be called a selfish choice- how about adoption? that is the most self-less thing a birth mom could do. The bad choice also is not the obvious- the death of the child- it is a a bad choice for the woman and her body The argument is that the woman should have the right to do with their bodies what they choose- first of all that baby is a separate body, but what an abortion can do long term to the woman is nothing to ignore. It has been proven that women have many physical risks from an abortion- infections, bleeding that will not stop, torn uterus, being unable later to conceive, and also miscarriages increase after abortions. Women go through emotional turmoil, as well, I have counseled women prior and post abortion and I know this to be true. And the spiritual risks are very high- taking the life of one of God's creation, just imagine what that does to your relationship with God. So to answer your question, abortion is a bad choice, not made up by me, but by the One who is absolute truth.

There is no excuse in today's world why any woman or girl should get an abortion. There are adoption agencies, abortions are usually more painful than child birth, if you cant afford going through the adoption process you are now allowed to leave your baby at the hospital and they take care of the adoption process. The only reason that I think is acceptable is if the mother could die giving birth..everyone has the right to protect their own life. Anyways...My mother was raped, she wanted to abort me, someone convinced her otherwise. She thought she had no choice but she didn't take the hurt or anger out on me. I now have wonderful adoptive parents who weren't rich but I made the most out of my education and now am getting married, buying a home, and getting my medical degree. Abortion is not the answer...choose life because there is always hope, maybe not for you but for the life inside of you.

This is a subjective question.
In other words it depends on the circumstances and the values and perspective of an individual.
Each person has to decide for themselves.
Personally i would not encourage an abortion. To me it is the same as ending a life or murder.
There could be an arguement that abortion of a very early pregnancy is not the same, because a nervous system (brain etc) has not yet been established in the embryo.
However if the mother is living in extreme or hostile circumstances or the child will be born in extreme distress or has no chance of living, then all these things have to be taken into account when answering your question.

I can only answer for myself. I feel that if I ever had gotten an abortion, it would've been a bad choice. Now that I have a daughter, I could never do it, even if I were raped, even if It was a risk to my health, even if it were my life or the baby's. I couldn't imagine ripping the fetus apart via vacuum. That baby would be a part of me, the sickness it causes, the flutters I feel, are all wonderful things. Waiting months to meet the person who was beating you up from the inside all this time, causing cramps and bloating, is fulfilled when you look into their eyes for the first time, They are so tiny and perfect, innocent. My pregnancy and birth experience were the best times of my life, even though I hated most of it and was a wreck most of the time.
If someone really, really really cant support a child, physically, mentally, unconditionally, or emotionally, then they have a tough decision to make, I'm glad I'll never have to choose it!

The important part is that you have a choice. Whether abortion is a good option or bad option depends on the situation. If you're just getting an abortion because you don't want a kid it's probably not the best choice but if you're electing to get an abortion because you cannot take care of the child or because of a sexual attack it would be a good choice. The option of abortion is not an excuse to be irresponsible with your sexuality and your choices but it is a valid option for someone who is responsible and becomes pregnant anyway.

I had one when I was 14 years old- I was living with my elderly granmother and still in school- GM didn't know much about BC and she left the decicsion up to me-the guy hit the highway as soon as I told him so for myself-it was a good choice! Do I regret it no -am I sorry- just for getting pregnant in the first place and for taking a life of an embryo! I have two wonderful (well one is one ain't) kids and I think God understood at the time.

it is a choice that can have some positives and some negatives, but it is a choice that has to be made by the mother (and father if he is in the picture).
It is a bad choice to use abortion as birth-control though, but depending on the circumstances...it is sometimes the better choice.

It is always a bad choice.
Abortion is not morally acceptable, regardless of the circumstances surrounding the baby's conception. This includes the age of the mother, whether the sex was rape or consensual, whether the baby is imperfect, or whether the mother's life is in danger, bla bla bla bla.......
It all comes down to this; an unborn baby is a living human being, and as such, has an inalienable right to life. Any other single human being has no right to make a judgment as to whether another human being will continue to live. Whose right is it to determine whether a life will be "good enough" to be lived by another person? Once we identify the genetic marker for homosexuality, should we abort all unborn babies who show it, to "spare them a hard life"? Of course not! We, as a moral and just society, choose to address problems instead of getting rid of the PEOPLE who are affected by the problem, don't we?
I don't need to invoke religion into my argument, although I am a Christian. Killing another human being is always wrong, whether you are a Christian or an Atheist; a Republican or a Democrat.
All of the exceptions and hypotheticals and justifications and rationalizations for abortion are meaningless to anyone who lives their life by the universal principle that values human life, no matter how inconvenient that life may be to another person.

It's a question of how we view ethical decisions as a society. Basically, we are supposed to make decisions that give us the greater good. If a girl is raped, what is the ethical thing to do? This question will never have a wrong or right answer, but we will debate over it forever. In my opinion though, rape is the only scenario in which abortion is an ethical decision because the woman did not chose to have sex. Getting abortion because of your own mistakes is unethical to me.
