I'm travelling economy to Australia soon, so I can take 20kgs, but have no idea how much my suitcase weighs now that I've packed it!

bathroom scale will work. done this many times for out of the country flights.

Well what I did was first weigh myself (on a normal bathroom scale.) Then I weigh myself holding the suitcase (make sure you're holding it in both hands and keep it balanced so as to get an accurate reading) Then subtract your weight from the weight of yourself holding the suitcase and there you go... the weight of the suitcase.

usually, unless your carrying other things besides clothes, the size of the suitcase determines what you can fit it and should be within the limit.if you weigh yourself first, then weigh yourself with the suitcase, subtract, the difference is what it weighs. the post office or a ups can weigh it for you also.

weigh your self w/o it first on a scale. then hold it and weight yourself again. The difference in weight is how much your suitcase weights

A standard bathroom scale will tell you the weight in pounds, then just convert the amount to kilograms.
