Is there a way to tell if someone has bugged your home, or is listening in on your conversations using a scanner or listening device or some such thing?

You would not be able to detect passive devices. For example, if a guy is spying with a laser beam on your window that would be hard to detect. Now active devices are easy. You have a spy scanner device, much like a metal detector in which you would scan your room for any item that puts out signals. You would have to go to a spy ware store for this. But in this day and age it is hard to detect someone listening in. The best defense is for both people to have phone scramblers.

You can't really tell and most of your conversations are boring, anyway. LOL
