To hate God, I would have to believe that God exists, and I don't.

I don't hate my God, in fact I love Him. I'm a Catholic. I'm a convert. I enjoy going to church, getting involve in church's activities, etc.

Probably saying 'NO' to Jesus is tough for me. Haha! To me, I think there are too much sufferings in the world therefore many people tink God dun exist and in turn, they hate Him. Or they find the Bible too fictional. There are also some disagreements which are caused by religious reasons.

For me, I feel that God is giving us all a chance to help those who are suffering. Actually there are many scientific evidences which you can find on the web that proves Jesus exist, the existence of Jesus doesn't need to be found from Bible. Hehe! I feel that misunderstanding is the reason which leads to disagreements in the world. If people can settle down and talk in peace, I suppose peace can exist everywhere! :)

I think you're confusing "hate" with "not believing".

Hate [v]: to dislike intensely or passionately; feel extreme aversion for or extreme hostility toward; detest

I don't know of anyone who would go out of their way to hate the Christian God, other than those who used to be believers.

Not to believe in the Christian God is simply a choice. Christianity doesn't make sense to a lot of people, thus, they tend not to believe. There's nothing hostile about that.

Not believing in God is NOT the same as hating God. The only people who hate God are people who worship Satan.

You see, there have been thousands of Gods throughout history, many much older than yours. Religion actually started off as polytheistic. I don't hate your God more than I hate any other present or past Gods.

Did you have any particular people in mind? I rarely hear people say they hate god, though I'm sure there are some out there.

They hate God because He tells them that He is their creator and the creator of all things.....and so He IS THEIR LORD, RULER, KING.

People are rebellious from birth. They rebel against the wishes of their parents as soon as they are able.

This rebellion continues on as they grow. Those who do not accept the perfect love of God for them, want to be free of Him and do whatever they feel like doing at any time. They are slaves to their own desires but don't even know how trapped they are, but only how unhappy they are.

So: they blame God and hate Him for not being their servants and giving them whatever they want at the moment.

Rom 6:20-23
20 When you were slaves to sin, you were free from the control of righteousness. 21 What benefit did you reap at that time from the things you are now ashamed of? Those things result in death! 22 But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves to God, the benefit you reap leads to holiness, and the result is eternal life. 23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I don't believe in him therefore I do not hate him. But I think the believers that do hate him, do so because something very bad has happened to themselves or a loved one and they can't understand why God would let it happen.

Who hates God?

I know atheists don't hate simply because they don't believe in Him.

I believe in Him and although occasionally I have been known to get angry with Him, as any child does with a parent, I don't hate him.

Don't confuse disbelief with hate, that's disingenuous and besides, not everyone believes as you do.

Because they don't KNOW Him. Most people I've found who hate God are hurting because so many bad things have happened to them that they need somebody to blame. It's very sad, because every one of them could be healed of those hurts if they could just understand that God is the ONLY one who will ALWAYS be there for them. Yep - life will be a bed of roses if they'd choose Jesus, but they need to remember that even roses have thorns. The closer we draw to God, the harder Satan comes against us.
