The easy way is to measure your room in metres, then multiply the length by the width and you have the area directly. The sizes you give work out to 24 squ metres. But if you are laying tiles or laminate flooring, you need to buy about 10% more than the bare minimum because you will waste some when you cut it. So you need to buy 26.5 squ metres, or the next pack size larger than that.

You need to convert the inches into metres, and then do the multiplication in metres. Use: 1 inch = 2.54 centimetres or, 1 inch = 0.0254 metres. 154" is 3.9116 metres because 154 * 0.0254 = 3.9116 Similarly, 142" is 3.6068 metres So 154" x 142" = 3.9116 x 3.6068 = 14.108 sq metres (correct to 3 decimal places) Alternatively, work out the multiplication in inches to give you square inches, and then multiply by (0.0254) and then multiply by 0.0254 again. e.g. 154 x 154 x 0.0254 x 0.0254 = 14.108 sq metres Repeat the same for the other three.

1 metre is 3 feet 3 inches approx ..so 16 feet is approx 5 metres .. 5 times 5 is 25 .. so 25 square metres is close enough .but it may be more if you have a lot of cuts

16 feet and 2 inches = 194 inches
194 inches x 2.54 cm per inch = 492.76 cm
492.76 cm = 4.9276 m > round up to 5 m
16 feet = 192 inches
192 inches x 2.54 cm per inch = 487.68 cm
487.68 cm = 4.8768m > round up to 5 m again
So 5 m x 5 m = 25 sq m flooring material needed
** It may actually be a little less than that, but you're better off getting a section that's too big and having them cut it down than not getting enough and having to go back and buy more

Multiply length X width and then divide by the quantity in the pack,
just say the above measurements equal 5m x 5m = 25m
1.59m in a pack divide 25m by pack quantity =15.7m2 call it 16 packs
Hope this helps

Good job more got it right, than wrong or you'll be having problems. I suggest you get someone in to lay it. As that's harder than working the amount out.
