I have curly hair and have had it relaxed professionally a few times, the last time it was the straightest it ever has been. The only thing relaxing my hair has done is made it easier to use the flat iron to make it straight. There is a relaxer that cost $500 or more that will straighten it so you won't need to. But i think you should keep it curly and not mess with it cause I regret processing it as much as i have. it doesn't curl the same i think it actually frizzes more now. and i where it curly all the time now.

I think that curls are beautiful. My friend got her hair permanently straightened by a professional and it turned out awfully. She can't do anything with her hair, and her hairline is truthfully receding and she's going bald!! I'm not lying!! She's going to get something done about it, but I'm not so sure that it can replace all the damage done to it in the first place. And, whether or not models should have straight or curly hair is up to the agency you're modeling for. It just depends.

Go with what you like the best. Personally, I'd keep the curls. I love curly hair. If you decide to straighten, use either a flatiron or a round brush and hairdryer so you can have one or the other depending on your mood or a particular look you're going for.

I say that you should keep your long curls. It sounds pretty. Straightening it permanently can damage your hair. You should buy an iron and then only straighten it when you want to, so you will have a variety. Some people would kill for your curls! Keep them. It also makes your hair look healthier. -Rayna

A lot of people who want to straighten their hair do it because they are frustrated with curls that are out of control. Try Mixed Chicks hair products. It's a good system for controlling frizz. Their leave-in is great for defining curls. And then, if you want to blow it straight, you can use their shampoo and deep conditioner before you blow your hair out or iron it. That way you get temporary straightness without the chemical damage of a perm. Good luck.

I love curly hair, I with my hair were naturally curly. However you like your hair the most is what you should do with it. You can always staighten your hair when you want to without doing it permanently.

DONT EVER PERMANENTLY CHANGE YOUR HAIR TEXTURE.
girl you have the option of being versatile, buy a good flat iron. i have black peoples hair thick and kinky and i dont get relaxers, most black girls get them, i dont wanna chemically change my hair, i have the option of being natural or straight while the other black girls dont. i have a very good flat iron, its called a sedu, go to folica.com and invest in a good flat iron, the sedu has the best ratings and yiou can see the customer reviews, it costs 125 but it is worth the investment, i have tried many flat irons and this one is by far the best, i mean my hair even moves like white peoples, this flat iron has allowed me to go from one texture to the exact opposite!!!!

don't do anything permanetly! Make it to where you can have both. Manually straighten your hair when you have time, but then have curly hair too. Viola! Best of both worlds.
