every night, we have very enjoyable times together, I have met his family. He gave me a beautiful, expensive, watch for my b-day last week. He opens doors for me. Cooks supper for me. When I leave his place for the evening (whether we had been intimate or not) he gives me a big hug and then a few kisses on the lips.
The problem is.....I always have to make the phone calls, however if he is not home and he sees I have called, he calls me back VERY promptly. He will not French kiss, not when we are intimate, not ever. He will not make the first move on me, I always have to be the instigator. I always have to make the plans if we are going to do anything on a Friday/Saturday night, which is every weekend.
I know he is not using me for intercourse, as it took forever for us to get to that point.
Does this sound like shyness or more like he is not really interested in me? or, like he has been hurt before and that has made him really shy with women??

Sounds like he has been hurt before and is shy with women. Also I do think hes very afraid that it may happen again and he wont be able to beal with it. Best thing you could do is try talk to him about it or just give him time. Who knows he may make you the most happyest girl in the world. Good Luck

welll lets hope your at least 30y/o and second lets hope your not ugly, and then maybe just maybe your over reacting, he must be ok looking for you to make the first move, I mean some guys have dificulty making the first move, and once you've been with someone for a certain amount of time then you finally get used to how things get started in the bed... here is the problem, he never calls, and never plans **** with you thats a good indicator that something is up, cause maybe , just maybe you should try and not call him until he calls you, see how long it takes, over a week, never talk to him again, and then do what you like, peace

I am a female but I am pretty much the female version of him. I'm a Libra and I tend to be just as passive. It seems like he is the same way. In my opinion, he doesn't want to do anything you might not want to do because he cares about your opinions. I never want to make decisions and I am horrible at calling people on the phone as well. It's just his personality. But that's just the female version of advice.

He want everything happened by your cause. So don't stick like that.

i hate to suggest this but it may be something to consider. he may be gay. you need to communicate with him and just ask him why you have to call first etc......
