I have never filed my taxes before. My ex-husband used to do it. Where do I get the forms to file my taxes and what forms should I use? I appreciate your advice. Thanks.

A good way to empower yourself is to learn as much as you can about taxes and how they affect your situation. I would recommend going to www.irs.gov, individual, and just cruise through there. Publication 17 is a good source for understanding income and out-go....

good luck & blessing

Probably for the first time at least, since you apparently have no idea how to do them at all, I would go to a place like H&R Block. You will get copies of what and how they did the different forms which you could use next year for a refrence.

If your income is less than around $40,000, look for a VITA site near you rather than pay H&R or someone like that. The VITA people will prepare your taxes at no charge.

there are many places to get forms. libraries, banks, post office are the most common. you can also get forms at www.irs.gov and download them and print them as well.
or you can always go to a tax prep agency and they will do it for you.
