Ummmm, priest for what god? If you're talking about the Roman gods, then you need to know which god the Priest is serving.
If you're talking about the Christian god, well.... during those days Christianity wasn't exactly a popular thing until Constantine. And then they'd have done something like what they do today. But, considering that everyone is dead from that time, its impossible to tell you exactly what they did during the day.
if you want to know, I suggest you do your own research because thats a HUGE subject and requires knowledge of archaeology.

Well, in Roman times the priests - and priestesses - were for their gods and goddesses; each one with its own attributes, requiring something different of its representative.
Christian priests really didn't exist as such yet- they tended to study the words of Jesus in small secluded groups, as christians were often persecuted in those days.
