For valentine's day I am making a picture/dvd/cd for my boyfriend of 2 years.... and I am taking tons of pictures from birth, to infant, to toddler, to pre-teens, to high school, prom, annaiversaries, first picnics, zoos, I MEAN eVERYTHING memory wise between us, and im having our song play in the background as the movie is going thru the picture slides... my question is, the movie is long, and i dont want the same song replaying over and over...so i was wondering if anyone had any song ideas, that talked about growing old together, or talk about life long memories together, from the day we first met, that kind of thing... something slow, something really beautiful in lyrics, and romantic... im racking my brain! please help! i would appreciate it guys! thanks a ton!!!

There are a lot of songs like this: Brian Adams Everything I Do( I do it for you) and if you wanna go way back, you can go to Percy Sledge When A Man Loves A Woman, Vanessa Williams Save The Best for Last. I'm more retro so I don't know a whole lot of songs for today's time. You should pick the songs that are memorable to you and your boyfriend. That's what will make this whole ordeal wonderful. Email me if you would like other ideas and I'll try to come up with more.

Once in a lifetime love by Keith Urban

Here are the lyrics

I can see it in your eyes,
And feel it your touch.
I know that you’re scared,
But you’ve never been this loved.

It’s a long shot baby,
Yeah I know it’s true.
But if anyone can make it,
I’m betting on me and you.

Just keep on moving into me.
I know you’re gonna see,
The best is yet to come.

CHORUS:
Don’t fear it now we’re going all the way.
That sun is shining on a brand new day.
It’s a long way down and it’s a leap of faith,
But I’m never giving up,
‘Cause I know we got a once in a lifetime love.

Everybody’s looking for what we found.
Some wait their whole life,
And it never comes around

So don’t hold back now just let go,
On all you’ve ever known.
You can put you’re hand in mine.

CHORUS

I close my eyes and I see you standing right there.
Saying “I do” and they’re throwing the rice in our hair.
Well the first one’s born and a brother comes along and he’s got your smile.
I been looking back on the life we had still by your side.

CHORUS

Everyone has great ideas for you (except that moron commenting on your adolescent behavior...)

Here's my two cents:

At Last by Etta James
Groovy Kind of Love by Phil Collins
Just to be Close to You by The Commodores
All My Life by KC & JoJo
I Think We're Alone Now by Tiffany (might be cute for the teen years)
8 Days a Week by The Beatles
Happy Together by The Turtles (????)
I Knew I Loved You by Savage Garden

Good luck & what a sweet gift idea!

Mariah Carey, Toni Braxton. Mary J Blidge, Marvin Gaye, Shai, The Isley Brothers, R Kelly, Keith Sweat, SWV...Those are a few artists to look into.
I think you should go with a few old ones but...mostly songs that pertain to your relationship.
Have fun with it!
