Please be specific about this - I know it's a lot smaller but I was wondering how much smaller. If you could give me both sizes in ounces, that would be LOVELY! Thanks for your help.

No, there's no way the bowl is the same size as the cup. I go to La Madeleine all the time and there's no way they could put on that big of an optical illusion.

The cup is small and looks like a coffee cup. It's probably around 8 fl oz. The bowl is a bit bigger, but not huge. I'd say it's probably 12 fl oz, maybe 14-16.

i am not sure about this particular restaurant, but i do know that in most restaurants, the serving size is almost exactly the same. you just pay more for the bowl - it is a old restaurant scam...
