Leave him something that can be delivered to him by a friend or family member, or hidden away then you can call and tell him where it is so he gets it right on Valentine's day.
Plan something for whenever you get home or before you leave and have it all set up to be your Valentine's Day celebration.
Your next date after Valentines' day can still count as a Valentine's date!

Write him a love letter and leave it for him. Make sure to call and get a verbal response. Later, when you are together, you can really celebrate.

do something before you go or wait till you get but leave him something to think of you while your away. send a package while your gone and send him hints on what he will be getting when you get back..have a happy vday
