Some people are born with a propensity toward dark circles; others grow into theirs as the skin in this area begins to thin, allowing color from blood vessels to shine through.

Look for a concealer that's more opaque than traditional ones and a shade lighter than your foundation. Blend with your index finger, then set with a thin layer of translucent powder. Beware, however, that if you have lots of lines around your eyes, powder may accentuate them. Also, steer clear of blue and purple eye shadows, which accentuate the blue in the dark circles. And don't wear eyeliner or mascara on your lower lashes; these just contribute to the area's overall darkness.

I have these dark circles under my eyes. You could try putting 2 teaspoons in the fridge for an hour and them put them on your eyes for 10 minutes. This refreshes your eyes and makes them look healthier. Also as some people have recommended you could try the YSL pen, i can't afford one of them so I use Boots No7 Shadow Chaser which is exactly the same and is only £11.50. This works fantastically and makes you look radiant within seconds.

Stop getting in to fights.

Seriously though, try the cucumber thing, eat a healthy, balanced diet and drink lots of water which will help clear your kidneys and liver. cut out sugar, tea and coffee as much as possible. it's difficult to cut out chocolate so when you need some, go for a real dark 70% cocoa chocolate and have just a small piece.

Also if you wear a thick type of foundation it will stop you getting any UV rays. While too many are bad for you, your skin does need some. let your skin breathe a bit.

Chilled teabags are meant to be good- plus cucumber slices.
pop your under eye cream or gel in the fridge for extra cooling properties! Make sure you have a few early nights and if feeling flush get some Yves St Laurent touche eclat for emergencies!!

A hydrating eye cream or gel is the best to use. You can also use an eye mask once a week (gel only, a cream will be too harsh). Remember to be gentle; the skin around your eyes is very delicate.
Lots of water and being well-rested will help too.

There is a new Avon ANEW product for under eye circles that works well. If you just want to cover them, I use Estee Lauder double wear under eye concealer. Just dab it on and blend easily, don't rub it in or you'll rub it off. Stays on till you remove it. Works great under makeup and by itself.
