have u tried cooking the chicken?

Try coating your chickin with flour, instant mash potatoe buds and what ever spices you want. Make sure you have a good thick coat by coating twice and let sit for 15 min.

The biggest problem people have with bloody chicken is they don't preheat the oven first and also low temp. Low temp. will not seal the coating.

So set oven at 375 to 400 depending on size of chicken and only open the door once for turning.

Another problem is where you buy your chicken. Under FDA reg. all animals sold for food must be blead properly. That is all the throats must be slit right after they are killed and drained of all blood.

Unfortuantly with the fast pace of the meat industry this is not always done properly. Especailly with chicken.

So be sure there is no blood in your container, if there is the meat is still bleeding and it will continue to bleed through the cooking process.

There is a reason for bleeding. If you want to know you can E-MAIL me.

Sincerely yours,

Fred M. Hunter

I read some of the other response (forget about Tempests answer - cleaning it will not stop it oozing).

I agree with the soak in salt water - it will also make the chicken extra juicy (1/4 cup kosher salt and 8 cups water or low salt veg broth for about an hour to an hour and a half).

You could also par-boil them before you coat and bake them. ...just boil them for 10 minutes or so, drain, season and bake.

Good luck

Take the chicken and place it in a pan of cold water and pour salt in the pan and let it soak for a while. The salt will prevent the blood.

I don't see this can be avoided, but maybe if you use a different cooking method, maybe grilling, or even try using batter on them browning them in shortning on the stove then putting them in the oven to finish cooking...
