I would go thru channels...first talk to the renters, they may not
know what's expected from them...if this is not resolved then
I would notify the homeowners, who in turn will notify the
renters........
the police has such much on their plate that they should not
be bothered with such trivial issues.....

Neighbor problems suck....especially since these folks already established that they dont know how to have adult conversation and just ask you to move the trash cans. But I agree...you have to talk with them and say the cans need to be left alone. don't let them engage you in explanations or additional chat...just keep repeating whatever the message is....i.e. the cans should be left on the corner......and then pleasantly thank them for their time and walk away...if that doesn't work, contact the homeowners....or the trash company.....they may have an alternate place for you to put your trash. My dads company recently built him a little pad because they felt the drive was too angled and the cans kept spilling....have you checked your survey? make sure you are right (lol) . You might want to check with the trash company before you check with the homeowners...they may have a solution...if you just say the neighbors wont leave the cans, any idea? last...use your sense of humor...you need to keep this in perspective so it doesn't become a big deal.... I painted a giant flower on the side of my shed because my neighbor kept complaining all the time...I know she hated it...she called everyone she could and made a big deal of it...but it helped me keep my sanity.... I'm thinking psychedelic colors for your trash cans might help....

I would talk with them. The street is owned by the city or county not the renter or homeowner. I'd let them know you've noticed they're moving your trash cans and you'd like for them to stop. If they get ugly, then just walk away. I'd call the homeowner's/condo association and ask for their assistance. If they're unwilling to help then you'll have no choice but to contact the owner of the house. They are being petty. Good Luck!

Oh boy, usually the best thing to do is approach them and say something like you've noticed they've been moving your trashcans over, were they bothering them there? That would at least open the conversation up without directly threatening them and see if something can be worked out. If not, then next you could contact the owner of the home since they are just renting and see what they can do to help. HTH, and good luck.

He may be just a "renter", but I bet he pays more than you do on your morgage.
Any whoooo, why can't you go up and knock on his door and ask what the problem is. Maybe these neighbors have had a certain way of doing their garbage and your not aware of it.
It would be a good way of getting to know your neighbor better and maybe you could become friends.
ONLY call the police if you don't get any answers from him or if he seems violent.

I would defiantly talk to them. What they are being is selfish and inconsiderate. If they still continue, I would call the police. That way it is very clear where your and their property lines begin and end.
Good luck!

Set their trash bin right by their front door, as close to the door as you can get it, and leave them a note to leave your trash bin alone.
