I got a guy I've been casually dating for about a month a Valentine's Day gift? We live in two different cities and it's about a six hour drive. He calls a lot and we've spent two weekends together and I am going to see him on the 23rd. I was wondering if it would be seen as a tad over the top if I mailed him a casual "Happy Valentine's Day" card and a tin of homemade cookies?

The card I did get him sings "Hey good lookin' what you got cookin'" and the front says "Good lovin is like good cookin..."
"...it's better when served hot."

Definitely not over-the-top! That's a very "moderate" gift, and very acceptable in this situation (well, at least my own very humble opinion).
If you sent a card that had "I love you, and you'll never escape my grap" written in it...well, then yeah...a little too much.
But a casual card (and I stress "casual") with a tin of homemade cookies is a perfect way to show him that you're thinking about him and that things aren't moving too fast, but that there's potential.
AND IF HE DOESN'T LIKE THE COOKIES MAIL 'EM TO ME!! :)
I wish you your bf the very best of luck!

I think it's a great gift and you should do it! It shows you care and home made cookies are always a hit. Now, if you sent him a card and a tin with a human heart in it.... that might be over the top.
Good Luck!
Aloha!!

I don't think it would be a problem as long as it's casual as you said. You're just wishing him a happy V-day after all, right? Get him a funny card instead of a romantic one...that'll take the edge off.

No, that's sweet ! The best way through a man's heart is through his stomach.
But, just curious, how did you meet? I am just saying, you don't really see each other that much so I would be careful. If you seem too clingy you'll scare him away.

That shows him you are thinking of him. What would it hurt? Nothing...Are you wondering if he will be thinking about you?
