One should enlighten the poverty dwelling community by making them self sustained. There is absolutely no relationship between literacy and poverty and population as well. What is required is enlightening the target group and make them confident, you may question how can one impart confidence its simple 'Several people (men/women) from poverty stuck families have become rich'. What made them rich is their hardwork, awareness and confidence but neither because of the government nor because of their literary skills. Now the question remains who should enlighten them? Again its simple the person should himself become aware of his plight. Lot of economists and social workers have done sufficient work but what gives their work a recognition is the target group's willingness to open their ear and practice the practices adviced by the social workers. Finally what keeps a person to get rid of poverty is his/her own lazyness. The day a person discovers lazyness thus abandoning it he has become aware thus finds his way out. People attribute the success of a poor person to luck but thats their ignorance.

Simple. Remove the people from the country. No people here, no poverty here. Too drastic? OK, how about, everyone works for a living and supports their own children. There! Presto!
LBJ declared War on Poverty in the mid-1960s. Apparently, Poverty won, after over a trillion spent to eliminate it.
Our American poor would be consider well-off in other countries. And seriously, I will tell you what CANNOT eliminate poverty: Big Government. Or any government, for that matter. Folks voluntarily helping each other, one-on-one, that's different story.

We will never be able to fully remove poverty from our country. We can help to aleviate poverty by giving people a hand up and not a hand out. Meaning we should help those less fortunate by giving them the means capable of making a better living for themselves. This can be done with better education and better welfare systems that don't allow people to play the system. In terms of what the individual can do to help ease poverty, they can volunteer at their local shelter, donate their money to a worthy cause that helps those in need, or simply donate any items they have laying around the house that they no longer use to local shelters.

Hire American Citizens first, don't send jobs outside the country, pay a living wage, and ensure that American Children are extremely well educated, have access to adequate healthcare, and have roofs over their heads. Take charity out of the government and leave it to the citizens and citizens groups and the churches. Help American Citizens First. Take care of our own first and then we can think about helping the rest of the world. Part of the reason we have growing poverty in the USA is because we have become the world's caretakers at the expense of our own citizens who can least afford it.

Poverty of material necessities can be replenished by efficient means of industrial production and distribution where people are willing to work hard and keep a compromise between primary necessities for sustaining life smoothly and secondary desires of augmenting it with physical comfort. It is always possible to keep the compromise with a contented and judicious mind and live happily within one's own means. However when the mind besets with greed and a lust for power with a depraved sense of superiority all balance is lost and contentment gives way to contempt and the means of achieving the desired end by harmful and irrational activities will be justified by self defined virtue and sanctity. This depravity of human mind is the real cause of all poverty which cannot be justified by any ratio of material living standards unless human stardards of life are defined and acted upon a firm platform of live and let live basis devoid of mutual exploitation for gaining ego centered wealth.

It is not the will of God or religious preacher that so many people on Earth live a life in poverty, which makes it necessary for them to focus most of their energy and attention on mere physical survival or making .In order to minimise the poverty peoples should imbibe the habit of work culture instead of charity

Pray that the rich bastards that control the wealth would invest to make employment for everybody. There is a bunch of people that just will not work and for them charity is the only solution. In the end people that want food can find it in developed nations. The rest of the world needs tools to do for themselves. Allot of help and charity that people have given millions for is just rusting away doing nothing. Civilized countries give and take away more than they give causing a resentment hard to resolve. Help is a funny thing.

The only way to eliminate poverty is to look at history and realize that economic freedom is the biggest enemy of poverty. So that means to get rid of poverty, we must get rid of governmental intrusion into the business world.

Deport all illegal immigrants, and let in all the immigrants that have done it legally into this county, they should not be waiting in their own countries to get into the United States. We are importing poverty from our neighbor to the south, Mexico. We cannot provide jobs for the world. They are taking jobs from our own people.

to remove poverty from our country we had con troll our population first, its the most important thing, then we had to educate people,so they could find suitable job, more and more industries and company's should be allowed to India, creating a lot of job opportunism for every class, our food supply resources must be fully utilised so as to reach every one in the country, self employment must be promoted,it must supported by government and other sectors, private must give or allocate more jobs for the people, these measures by which we can reduce poverty.
