These days I got up earlier. I usually slept less than 5 or 6 hours. A few nights, I was tired and I only slept about 3 hours. Sometimes, I could go back and slept again. Sometimes, I could not go back and sleep again. I didn't drink any water after the dinner. When I woke up after 2 or 3 hours sleeping, I don't feel like to go to toilet. How could I sleep continuously for more than 6 hours? I don't drink tea after 3 pm.

Be more active during the day. Find an activity that's fun to you & do it. Work out. Swim. Wear yourself out. Is your bed comfortable? If not, get one that is.

I have trouble with sleeping too much. I think sleeping less is better, you can get more things done. Unless, you are really tired when u wake up and cant go back to sleep. That's when you need sleeping pills or something. YOu can ask your doctor, and he'll prescribe you something. Or you can just get some over the counter pills.

If you want a non habit forming sleeping pill, get some Melatonin
You can get it from a health food store. It really works well, you sleep through the night and you are not groggy, there are no side effects and you feel great. The name is 'SleepSense'
Give it a try, better than sleeping pills.

My hubby has a similar problem. He's usually dog tired in the evening and usually crashes out by 9:30 p.m. I suggested that he try using the bathroom before going to bed for the night - but he doesn't because he's too tired.... so he gets up in the middle of the night and goes to the bathroom and then can't get back to sleep. It drives me crazy because then he's turning on the TV to help himself get tired again and go back to sleep.

If it's not a "bathroom" issue, than maybe you're thinking about things too much. Do you lay away trying to remember things that you either forgot to do or things you need to do the next day?
If so, then you should try jotting down on paper what you are trying to remember.

If you are bothered by things (relationships, finances, etc.) then maybe you need to talk to a counsellor or just talk to a close friend. Getting these out of your thoughts and into words help to release them into actions and deal with them.
Hope this helps?

I have the same problem you do. The doctor prescribed Ambien CR and yes it does help, but the price of the medicine is high. Recently I have been buying a Generic Non habit forming sleep aid at Walmart and it has really helped, however I have to chew the pills up to get faster results. Swallowing takes longer.. Good Luck
