Noplace takes AMex, and I need to make car payments. What to do??

You can't give the card to someone asking them to use it becuase more often than not if it is used as a debit/credit it will have your name. Selling it on Ebay would not be an option. (Take a look at Ebays terms and Service agreement) However, you can Western Union the money from the card to yourself. This will incurr some fee's however but if its a large ammount of money it should even it out. Good luck.

Call your creditor handling your car loan and see if they can take partial payment off the gift card soft of like a balance transfer. If not, what I did when I got a Virtual Visa Card for only 50 dollars was put the whole 50 dollars on my phone bill (most companies take credit cards) and just kept the cash in my bank account that I ordinarily would have paid the bill with to pay for other things.

This way you get the full value of the card. If you wer to try to sell it on eBay, likely you would have to sell it for less than it's actually worth in order to get a buyer.

There are also a few online sites that allow you to trade or sell gift cards. There are probably fees involved. See the links below
